Site Settings Pg. 3

Article Friendly Joy!

We will now finish off the remainder of the site settings fields.

Category Count

This setting is used to show or hide the number of articles in each category & subcategory. It's nice to show the number of articles, but keep in mind that once you have many articles, setting this to "1" (On) will use a lot of server resources. I suggest leaving this to "0" (Off) if you are using shared hosting. If you have Article Friendly installed on a VPS or Dedicated server, then set it to "1" (On).

Mass Email Delay

If your shared hosting provider requires you to "Throttle" your emails per hour, you may set the rate of emails sent here. A setting of "1" would mean 1 email is sent every one second. A setting of "0" (zero) would mean no limits on how fast emails are sent.

Max/Min Words

You my decide how many words (not characters) you will accept in each article that is submitted by a live author. The default is 1200 Maximum, but you can increase or decrease the total number of Maximum words you expect in the submitted articles.

Exceeded Words Msg

If a live author exceeds your maximum set number of words in an articles, this message will be shown to them. You may format the message using HTML if you wish.

Minimum Article Words

This setting will help stop spammers by insisting on a minimum number of words for an articles. This is number of complete words and not characters.

Minimum Words Msg

If an author submits an article with to few words, this message will be shown to them.

Good Words Msg

If the article submitted by a live author meets all your settings, this is the message that will be shown to them. You may use HTML to format the message if you wish.

Email/Word Blocks

You can block cetain email domains and words you find offensive or spam in these two fields.

Block Submission Services.

If you don't want article from isnare or article marketer auto approved (you'd rather approve them manually), you can set these two fields to "1" auto approve, or "0" (zero) to manually approve their articles.

Block Articles

Check For Updates.

At the top right of the site settings fields block is a link that says "Version Number: x_x_x | Check For Updates!. Click on the "Check For Updates" and you can see if there are any new updates to download from that page to install on your site.
