Content Crooner Signup

Article Friendly Joy!

This tutorial deals with how to signup with Content Crooner for their free articles.

Signup Page

Enter your first, then last name and your email address in the appropriate boxes, and then move down to the next block of text fields.

The next block starts with the "Web site/List/Ezine name" field. This is just the name of your sites, such as Friendly Articles. Next is the WWW URL of where you installed Article Friendly. If you installed in articlefriendly.com, then the WWW URL would be:

http://www.articlefriendly.com

URL To Scripts

This is the part of the signup that seems to confuse people and cause the most reasons a test author/article isn't recieved. Lets look at each field in order moving downward.

The Account creation script URL is the WWW url to the 1newuser.php script in the main folder of your Article Friendly site. For example, if your Article Friendly site is at articlefriendly.com, and you rename the 1newuser.php script to 324authors.php, then you would enter in the fields:

http://www.articlefriendly.com/324authors.php

Account login script

Click on the "Next" button below, and we will move to how to get those free articles tutorial!

Leave this field empty. There is no login script URL.

This field is the WWW URL to the 1newarticles.php script in your Article Friendly main folder (where the index.php resides). For example, if your Article Friendly site is articlefriendly.com, and you rename the 1newarticles.php to 5772articles.php, then your WWW URL to the script would be:

http://www.articlefriendly.com/5772articles.php

Options

The next block of fields deals with setting options for the articles and submissions.

Setting Posts per period will allow you to limit how many article posts are made per day and per author. Next, you can set the number of words per article, and the next field allows you to set the min/max characters per article. Below that is the Hard line break field and you can leave this to 0 (zero). Following that field is the Accept HTML in article? field, and I'd suggest you change this to "No". You can leave the Accept HTML in author biography? field to "Yes". Finally, if you want all the past articles plus new articles, you can set the dropdown menu to "All" or "Future Only".

Category Selections

Each of the categories listed have those related articles in them. You can choose all the categorie's articles, or only check specific categories. Please note that if you don't have the Article Marketer categories actually created on your site, you will not get those articles. Article Friendly looks at each article sent to your site by Article Marketer, and then gets the category. If the category sent by Content Crooner isn't found on your site, the article will be refused!

After you choose the categories you want articles from, you may click on the Submit button at the bottom of the signup page. An email will be sent to you to confirm your email address, and also to send your site a test article/author. The test author's name will be John Doe, and the article will be Test title. If you see these created on your site, you will be able to confirm they were successful and you'll get articles submitted automagically!

Troubleshooting

If you have any issues with not recieving the test author/article, you will need to email support at Content Crooner. They do not have options to allow site owner to change the submission urls, etc.

Now, we can move onto submitting your site to iSnare.com
